I bought a sewing machine when we were in Malawi a few weeks ago. I’m really not great at sewing – if we’re talking about basic, straight line across a curtain to stop the hidden tabs falling off projects – I’m okay-ish. But I don’t really have much experience or know how.
I decided, being the slightly crazy, prone to overestimate my capabilities kind of person I am, that my first ever, official, from scratch sewing project would be a “patchwork” skirt!
I keep buying skirts from the market that have nice material but just never fit properly or they’re indecently short (i.e. – mid-calf length!). So I cut them all up, sewed them all back together and ended up with this…
Not bad huh!
Thanks for the gorgeous picture Kath. Well done! This one has to go up on our Mission Board News pockets at Craigie Baptist! Weâve been talking and praying about all of you frequently during mission month and the Cranes visited us at the end of March. Jonno brought us a great message. Just thought I would attach this picture again, as Iâm not sure if you received it last time. I have updated the Falconers picture with a new one showing little Katelyn. But havenât taken a new pic of it yet. Always great to hear from you. Love, Fay
