I asked Jack to get changed out of his school uniform this afternoon so I could wash it and he started to cry…
Today was the last day that he will ever wear the “teal, black and white” BCPS uniform and the significance of the moment was not lost on my super sentimental little champ (It’s free dress day tomorrow for the last day school).
I don’t think there has been a single day that this kid hasn’t been excited about going to school! From his very first day of Kindy way back in 2010, he’s headed out the door with a smile on his face and a spring in his step.
He’s got such a great attitude and makes the most of every opportunity. When I grow up, I want to be like him.
He’s been so incredibly blessed with awesome teachers and amazing friends. It’s just so great to have so many people in his life to love and encourage him.
A teacher I’ve never even met walked past us at school yesterday and stopped to ask “Is that your son?” I replied yes and then she said, “He’s delightful!”
I couldn’t agree more!
Farewell school – we will all miss you so much!
Sounds like Jack is one well adjusted amazing son you have there. I have no doubt he will continue to grow and blossom into a wonderful young man. Praying that his transition back to home schooling in Mozambique will be smooth and okay.
Travel well Cath with all kids in toe.
