Good afternoon from a delightfully sunny day here in Mozambique,
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of those who have donated to the school repair project! We’ve almost received all of the funds!
You might remember our stories about the storm last year in December… if not you can read all about it here and here. Long story short, our education department here got smashed – they lost the roof off both of their existing offices, the roof off their brand new, yet to be finished office, the roof off an entire Primary School block and the roof off an entire Secondary School block!
Through your incredibly generous support, you’ve already helped get the offices and the Primary School back up and running – just in time for the start of the new school year. They’ve been back in operation for about 6 weeks now. Once in, the remaining funds will be used for the Secondary School repair.
Despite being near the end of the rainy season, we’ve had bucketloads of rain these last few weeks so I’m sure the teachers and kids are also extremely grateful to have a more cosy place to take classes.
If you’d like to help us get across the line and finish off the Secondary School block repair, you can make a donation via our Global Interaction site.
Thanks again, on behalf of all of Team Yawo here in Mozambique & Malawi!
Hi Cam and Kath, Scott and Bek
Thanks for The Beeck Brief received this morning. We have just donated $500 to the school rebuilding project and trust you’ll receive it soon. We love to hear all your news and pray for you and your families as you live and serve in beautiful Africa.
Blessings in abundance
